A good tip is to start your job search at the social security office as all local positions will be advertised via a board at the office. Otherwise these types of jobs are usually advertised in the classifieds of local papers or by word of mouth (network like mad - don't be afraid to ask other people if they know of any vacancies). Also check postings at supermarkets, laundormats and youth hostels.
